The Role

We are working closely with a regional referral hospital in Queensland seeking expressions of interest from Emergency Medicine Registrars. This full-time prospect offers broad exposure to undifferentiated emergency presentations within a busy consultant-led Emergency Department, making it well suited to trainees pursuing ACEM Fellowship or international medical graduates looking to progress through the Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) pathway.

You will manage a diverse mix of adult and paediatric emergency presentations, participate in the registrar roster, work alongside an experienced FACEM team and gain extensive experience in emergency procedures, resuscitation and acute care decision-making.

Training & Development

Training is a major strength of this position, offering recognised Emergency Medicine training together with pathways that support both Australian trainees and eligible international medical graduates.

- Foundational, Intermediate and Advanced ACEM Associateship training programs.
- Eligible international medical graduates may access the Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) Program after meeting the published eligibility requirements, with successful completion leading to an AMC Certificate without sitting the AMC Clinical Examination.

Requirements

- Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- Recent Emergency Medicine experience appropriate to registrar level.
