Bring your customer service skills to poolside

We’re looking for a kind, reliable and confident Pool Deck Assistant to support our swimmers, families and teachers from the pool deck.

This is a customer-facing role, ideal for someone with customer service experience who enjoys helping people, staying busy and being part of a supportive team. Experience in a customer-facing or people-focused environment will be highly valued.

Must be available:

- Wednesday afternoons: 3:30pm – 6:45pm
- Sunday mornings: 8:00am – 11:15am
- *Additional shifts may be available depending on team cover and operational business needs.

What you’ll do

As a Pool Deck Assistant, you’ll help lessons run smoothly and create a positive experience for families from the pool deck.
Duties include:

- Providing a great experience by greeting swimmers and families with warmth and professionalism

- Recording accurate class attendance & recording swimmer skills on our iPad app

- Preparing lessons by setting up and packing away lesson equipment as required while also:

- Assisting with equipment during classes e.g: goggles, kickboards, floats and pool deck items

- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by keeping the pool deck and shared spaces clean, tidy and safe.

- Providing outstanding customer service by proactively assisting families on pool deck, answering questions where appropriate, and connecting them with the right team member when needed.

- Completing general ad hoc support duties in a busy lesson setting

What you’ll bring

Applicants must have previous experience in a customer-facing role and demonstrate the confidence to communicate professionally with families in a busy, fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, approachable and professional
- A reliable, punctual energetic, and eager-to-learn attitude.
- Confident communicating with families, carers and children
- Able to multitask in a busy environment and remain calm and organised
- Willing to use initiative
- CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Current Working With Children Check.
