We're partnering with a well-established industry leader seeking an Operational Account Manager to join their Sydney team. This is an opportunity to move into a leadership role where you'll work closely with clients, support field teams and play a key part in service delivery across a portfolio of major contracts.

Importantly, we're not looking for someone who knows everything from day one. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with technicians and customers alike.

The Opportunity

Reporting to an experienced Service Delivery Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting service operations across a portfolio of key accounts.

You'll work closely with a team of field technicians across fire and sprinkler services, ensuring customers receive exceptional service while supporting operational performance, compliance and safety outcomes.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in client meetings, operational reviews, service reporting and team leadership, while receiving ongoing mentoring and development from a highly supportive manager who remains actively involved with both customers and technicians.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing day-to-day service delivery across key customer accounts
- Building solid relationships with clients and acting as a key operational contact
- Supporting and leading field service technicians
- Attending customer, operational and sales meetings




- Reviewing service reports and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Monitoring contract performance and service KPIs
- Supporting resource planning and team productivity
- Promoting a strong safety and compliance culture
- Assisting with customer issues, escalations and service improvement initiatives
- Working alongside leadership to identify account growth opportunities

About You

We're open to a variety of backgrounds, including:

- Fire industry technicians ready to move into leadership
- HVAC or mechanical services professionals with some exposure to fire services
- Service supervisors, coordinators or team leaders
- Administrators from smaller businesses who have been heavily involved in operations and customer management
- Candidates from essential services, facilities management or technical service environments
- Account Managers looking to expand into operational leadership

You’ll succeed in this role if you can confidently communicate with technicians, build strong customer relationships and enjoy balancing people, operations and problem-solving.

Highly Regarded

- Fire industry experience
- Knowledge of AS1851
- Experience operating or understanding fire panels
- Exposure to service and maintenance environments
- Understanding of compliance-driven industries
