About the Role

As a part of our business growth journey, Western Sydney remains a continued and ongoing opportunity focus. Following market feedback, Decmil are seeking a Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be working closely with leaders and crews to enable secure, efficient and compliant delivery.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and schedule day-to-day organisation/coordination of; plant, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for the work to ensure construction program, HSEQ and time requirements are met
- Complete daily site dairies and timesheets
- Compliance with short-range program (SRP), medium range program (MRP) and main contract program as developed by the Project team
- Ensure asset management procedures are complied with
- Report regularly to the Line Manager on project performance and costs against company objectives
- Manage subcontractors in accordance with Decmil policies and procedures




- Coordinate and review subcontractor works and HSEQ compliance
- Review all JHA’s, SWMS and work procedures under your control
- Anticipate potential obstacles and assist in developing contingency plans to overcome them
- Ensure quality of construction is to the requirements of the construction drawings and specifications
- Assist engineers in completing/obtaining completed Checklists and ITPs
- Carry out inspection of all work areas assigned to you ready for engineer sign-off

What You’ll Bring

- Trade qualification and/or experience in construction-related discipline as required
- Preferably a minimum 5 years’ previous Supervisory experience
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred
- Construction induction white card
- Strong proven qualities of leadership, integrity, loyalty, and performance management
- Sound and proven ability and knowledge in construction and project execution
- Sound computer literacy skills
- Clear communication and ability to work with different teams
- Commitment to safety, respect and doing things the right way
- Location: Western Sydney
- Roster: Monday- Saturday
- Initial Project Duration: 15 Months
