Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife (Grade 5) to join its maternity team on a two-week contract from 27 July to 11 August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy maternity service in Queensland, offering a salary range of AUD$57.62 to AUD$73.04 per hour. The successful candidate will bring specialist skills in antenatal and postnatal care, birth suite experience, and advanced neonatal resuscitation to support the hospital's maternity services during this period.

Preferred Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated experience in maternity care, including antenatal and postnatal assessment and support
- Proven competence in birth suite practice and labour support
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation certification or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent tertiary qualification in midwifery
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Additional qualifications or experience in neonatal care or high-risk maternity highly regarded
