Your new company Our client is a leading resources organisation delivering major infrastructure projects within a complex operational environment. They are seeking an experienced Specialist Project Controls (Infrastructure Planner) to join their Brisbane-based team and play a key role in integrating, assuring and managing contractor schedules across multiple project workstreams.
Your new role Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the owner's Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) while ensuring contractor schedules are realistic, aligned, and integrated into overall project delivery requirements. You will work closely with project teams and contractors to assess schedule performance, identify risks, resolve interface issues, and provide schedule assurance across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
What you'll need to succeed
- 7+ years' experience in planning and scheduling within mining or infrastructure projects.
- Advanced Primavera P6 capability.
- Experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Strong construction and project execution experience, not just planning.
- Ability to analyse, challenge and influence contractor schedules.
- Experience with critical path analysis, float analysis and schedule risk management.
- Solid understanding of contractor delivery models and construction sequencing.
- Experience working across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as a self-starter.
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline preferred.
