Join the Far North Queensland Regional Office and help create a future of equity, inclusion and prospect for the communities we serve.
As part of the Regional Implementation team, you will work in a high-performing and collaborative environment to deliver projects and programs that support First Nations economic development, job creation, skills development, and sustainable social, cultural and economic outcomes.
As a key regional contact and part of the department's regional front door, you will build and maintain robust relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, local government, industry, service providers and government agencies.
Through these partnerships, you will support community-led initiatives and drive practical outcomes that strengthen communities across the region.
Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects and initiatives that support departmental, regional, and whole-ofgovernment priorities.
Build and maintain trusted partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, government agencies and other stakeholders to drive collaborative outcomes.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities,
forums and partnership mechanisms to support the delivery of programs, projects and regional priorities.
Monitor regional issues, trends and opportunities and provide advice to inform decision-making and other government agencies' service delivery.
Prepare briefs, reports, correspondence and submissions, providing timely and evidence-based advice and contribute to coordinated cross-agency responses.
Contribute to cross-agency initiatives and coordinated responses that address regional opportunities and challenges improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
Support delivery of initiatives that build skills, create jobs, and grow enterprises for First Nations communities.
Support the delivery of regional and local government events.
Work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a high-performing team, fostering a respectful, protected, and inclusive workplace.
These roles offer flexibility across the Far North Queensland locations of Cairns, Cooktown, Weipa, and Thursday Island.
Applications will remain current for 12 months.
