We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well-established civil construction business. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and timely cost estimates for civil construction projects, while supporting tender submissions, project planning and business development.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will work closely with the estimating team, senior management, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver high-quality tender submissions and support successful project outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will work closely with the estimating team, senior management, clients, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver high-quality tender submissions and support successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare estimates, tenders and quotes in conjunction with the estimating team.
- Prioritise workloads to meet tender deadlines.
- Liaise with clients throughout the tender process and obtain feedback on submitted tenders.
- Support tender queries from project delivery teams.
- Participate in the development of tender methodology and programming.
- Assist with Expressions of Interest and Capability Statements for key clients.




- Maintain estimating databases, tender registers and supplier information.
- Stay up to date with Australian Standards, legislation, construction techniques and specifications.
- Coordinate tender reviews with senior management prior to final submission.
- Prepare and cost-code successful tenders for handover to delivery teams.
- Support business development activities and attend industry functions as required.

About You

- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 8–10 years’ experience in civil construction estimating.
- Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure tenders.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and materials.
- Advanced estimating and cost planning skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and risk awareness.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Candy, Expert Estimation or similar.
- Strong capability across MS Word, Excel and Project/ASTA.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
