We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Motel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our motel in Sydney's Inner West.

Our property provides accommodation to a diverse mix of guests, including private travellers as well as referrals through Homes NSW, NDIS providers, community housing organisations, homelessness services, and other government and support agencies.

We are looking for someone who understands both motel operations and the unique challenges of managing accommodation for guests who may have complex support needs.

About the Role

This is a hands-on management position where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for ensuring the motel operates efficiently while maintaining a protected, respectful and welcoming environment for all guests.

You will work closely with government departments, support coordinators, case workers, community organisations and service providers to ensure accommodation is managed professionally and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the motel.
- Help drive revenue for the business.
- Coordinate reservations, check-ins and departures.
- Supervise housekeeping, maintenance and contractors.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction.
- Liaise with Homes NSW, NDIS providers, community housing organisations and other referring agencies.
- Work collaboratively with support workers, case managers and government representatives.
- Respond confidently and professionally to guest issues, complaints and incidents.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Foster a safe,



respectful and inclusive environment for guests and staff.

About You

You are calm under pressure, solutions-focused and able to build rapport with people from all backgrounds.

You will ideally have:

- Previous Motel, Hotel or Accommodation Management experience.
- Experience working with Homes NSW, Housing NSW, community housing providers or supported accommodation.
- Experience within the NDIS, disability services, homelessness or community services sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High levels of professionalism, resilience and emotional intelligence.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Experience using accommodation booking systems.

Highly Regarded

Experience working with:

- Homes NSW or formerly Housing NSW.
- NDIS participants and Support Coordinators.
- Homelessness services.
- Community Housing Providers.
- Government-funded accommodation programs.
- Crisis or transitional accommodation.

The ideal candidate will be someone who understands that successful motel management involves driving occupancy rates and revenue. Also you'll be confident balancing customer service with operational management while working alongside government and community agencies to support vulnerable guests with fairness, respect and clear professional boundaries.
