Position Overview

The Warehouse Pick/Packer & Store person is responsible for accurately picking, packing, receiving and storing products while supporting the productive day-to-day operation of the Lo & Co warehouse.

This is a hands-on role requiring excellent attention to detail, physical capability and a strong commitment to warehouse safety. A forklift licence is preferrable and the candidate must be confident operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Picking and packing

- Accurately pick products according to sales orders and picking documentation.

- Check product codes, finishes, quantities and quality before packing.

- Pack orders securely and carefully to minimise the risk of damage during transport.

- Prepare orders for dispatch, including labelling and completing relevant documentation.

- Use scanners to accurately pick and pack orders.

- Meet daily picking and packing targets while maintaining accuracy.

- Report stock discrepancies, damaged products or order issues promptly.

Receiving and stock management

- Receive, unload and inspect incoming deliveries.

- Check received stock against purchase orders and supplier documentation.

- Put stock away accurately in the correct shelf, bin or pallet location.

- Assist with stock replenishment from pallet storage to active picking locations.

- Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system.

- Participate in stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory investigations.

- Assist with returns, damaged stock and stock adjustments as required.

- Ensure stock is rotated and stored safely and efficiently.

Forklift operation (preferrable)

- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move and store stock.





- Move pallets between receiving, bulk storage and picking locations.

- Complete daily forklift safety checks and report any faults immediately.

- Follow all safe operating procedures and workplace safety requirements.

- Maintain a current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift Truck (LF).

Warehouse operations

- Keep work areas, shelving, equipment and warehouse aisles clean and organised.

- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

- Work collaboratively with warehouse, customer service and operations teams.

- Help identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

- Follow all company policies, procedures and reasonable management directions.

Work Health and Safety

- Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others.

- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

- Use required personal protective equipment.

- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and only when authorised.

- Report hazards, incidents, injuries and near misses immediately.

- Follow safe manual-handling practices at all times.

Essential Requirements

- Previous experience in a warehouse, store person, picking or packing role.

- Strong attention to detail and a high level of picking accuracy.

- Ability to perform physical and manual-handling tasks, including lifting and moving cartons.





- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Reliable, punctual and able to manage competing priorities.

- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse and inventory systems.

- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and organised workplace.

Desirable Requirements

- Current Forklift license

- Experience using inventory systems, a warehouse management system or similar inventory software.

- Experience working with bin and pallet locations.

- Experience in a retail, or e-commerce warehouse.

- Knowledge of dispatch processes and freight documentation.

- Attendance, reliability and teamwork.

- Warehouse cleanliness and organisation.

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse position that involves standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, repetitive movements and manually lifting and moving cartons. The employee must be able to safely perform the inherent physical requirements of the position, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.
