ABOUT THE ROLE
To support the business achieve its operational and strategic goals through monitoring effective QA practices, identifying and providing corrective actions as required, as well as performing the Aus-Meat Mandatory Standards Officers duties.
Location: Bells Creek, Sunshine Coast, QLD
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join the Kilcoy Cuisine Solutions team and ensure the consistent delivery of quality products to KCS customers. The successful candidate will support the operational teams by assisting the business achieve its operational and strategic goals through monitoring effective QA practices identifying and providing corrective and preventative actions as required. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Work closely with production supervisors to continuously develop, deliver and review training in work practices and quality assurance procedures and practices.
- Ensure all quality system monitoring is carried out in a meaningful manner and correctly recorded.
- Assist production management to ensure quality practices and procedural consistency, supporting favourable outcomes for KCS commercial performance.
- Ensure that product produced complies with Department of Agriculture, Aus-Meat and customer standards and specifications.
- Conduct investigations into quality issues as they arise,
identifying corrective action to minimise impact.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in value add or cooked products essential
- Quality assurance background in a food manufacturing environment, or
- Internal Audit Qualifications & HACCP
- Operational experience in a meat processing facility
- A strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Commitment to company values, and food safety culture
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Attention to detail, initiative, time management and follow through
