Quarry Bin Truck Driver – Mount Coot-tha Quarry

APA Tippers is a family-owned transport, plant hire and civil services business operating throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland.

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Quarry Bin Truck Driver to join our team at Mount Coot-tha Quarry.

This position involves operating a bin truck entirely within the quarry and transporting quarry products between onsite loading and tipping locations. There is no public-road cartage involved during the shift.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Safely operating a bin truck within Mount Coot-tha Quarry

- Transporting quarry products between onsite loading and tipping locations

- Following designated haul routes, speed limits and traffic-management requirements

- Communicating clearly with quarry staff and operators using a UHF radio

- Completing daily vehicle pre-start inspections

- Following safe loading, reversing and tipping procedures

- Monitoring vehicle condition throughout the shift

- Reporting defects, hazards, incidents and near misses

- Completing timesheets and required site records

- Remaining onsite, alert and available during periods between loads

- Following all quarry, company and workplace safety procedures

- Keeping the vehicle clean and in a safe operating condition

About You





To be considered for this position, you will need:

- A current HR or HC Australian driver licence

- Previous heavy-vehicle driving experience

- Confidence operating trucks in busy or changing site conditions

- Confidence communicating using a UHF radio

- A robust commitment to workplace health and safety

- Reliable attendance and punctuality

- The ability to follow instructions and site procedures

- The ability to remain patient, alert and available between loads

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous quarry, tipper, civil construction, earthmoving or onsite haulage experience will be highly regarded.
