An exciting new chapter is about to begin at Mermaid Beach Surf Club.

We're proud to announce the opening of our brand-current beachfront café on iconic Hedges Avenue, and we're searching for exceptional Baristas and Hospitality Professionals who want to be part of something special from day one.

We're looking for more than someone who can make great coffee—we're searching for someone who treats coffee like an artist treats a masterpiece. If your barista skills rival those of Leonardo da Vinci creating art, you'll fit right in. You'll be organised, thrive in a quick-paced environment, confidently multitask, and take pride in delivering every cup and every customer interaction to the highest standard.

We believe outstanding hospitality starts on the front line. That's why we're looking for naturally engaging people who genuinely enjoy looking after others, are passionate about the industry, lead by example, and know that having fun as a team is just as important as delivering exceptional service.

Mermaid Beach Surf Club is home to the award-winning Merlina's Restaurant, a vibrant bar, 24 gaming machines, TAB and Keno facilities. We operate seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with breakfast on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Our new café, perfectly positioned adjacent to the beach on Hedges Avenue,



will operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year, becoming a destination for both locals and visitors alike.

What you need to bring to the role:

- RSA & RSG, Any other relevant certificates.
- Great Presentation and attention to detail
- A strong understanding of working in a bar environment, pouring beer, wine, spirits and basic cocktails.
- Deep knowledge of coffee, including brewing techniques, latte art, and equipment handling..
- Great communication and execution skills
- Ability to work a flexible roster, working evenings and weekends
- Commitment not to just your own progression, but the progression of our team and the business. Lead by example.
- Common Sense!!!

Minimum 2 years of Barista experience required.

Minimum 2 years of bar experience required.
