About the Role

As a Civil Estimator, you will play a key role in securing and delivering a diverse portfolio of projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing tender opportunities and supporting the pre-construction team throughout the tender process.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams and has a strong understanding of subdivision and civil construction methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civil construction projects.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Complete quantity take-offs and cost planning activities.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Develop tender pricing, risk assessments and value engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and construction teams.
- Assist with budgeting, procurement planning and project handovers.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.




- Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and delivery outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Civil Estimator within the Australian civil construction industry.
- Strong experience pricing subdivision, earthworks, roads, drainage and land development projects.
- Ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills
- Strong knowledge of subcontractor markets and supplier networks.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
