Due to continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join their highly skilled maintenance team at their modern Caringbah manufacturing facility.

The Role
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Production Team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring plant reliability and minimising downtime through preventative and reactive maintenance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance across production equipment
- Mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs
- Installation, modification and commissioning of plant and machinery
- Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and pneumatic systems
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
- Completing maintenance documentation and work orders
- Working collaboratively to maximise equipment performance and production uptime
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial or production maintenance
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience maintaining production plant and equipment
- Knowledge of conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
- A proactive attitude with robust problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience within plastics, packaging, food manufacturing, FMCG, cable manufacturing or automated production environments will be highly regarded.
You will also be willing to participate in a rotating weekend roster and overtime when required.
