Sonoco Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Despatch Coordinator to join our team in Virginia, Queensland. This full-time role will be responsible for coordinating the efficient and timely dispatch of goods from our warehousing and distribution centre.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of outbound freight to customers
- Liaise with customers, transport providers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of goods
- Operate warehouse management systems to process and track orders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all dispatched goods
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the despatch function
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting activities
- Provide support to the broader warehouse and logistics team as required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a despatch or logistics coordination role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehousing environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Robust computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
