About The Team
Our GEOSPACES team is instrumental in developing and maintaining creative technologies that tackle evolving challenges within the intelligence community. Additionally, these roles will focus on designing, integrating, and validating complex tenant environments tailored to specific use cases, supporting critical customer objectives.
The Opportunity
As a GRC Analyst, you will provide governance authority and oversight across the delivery of Defence ICT capabilities, ensuring alignment with security standards, risk frameworks and compliance requirements.
You will work closely with architects, engineers, and delivery teams to ensure governance is embedded throughout the lifecycle—from design through to testing, assurance and transition to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide GRC leadership and oversight across delivery activities
- Lead development and review of governance, risk and compliance documentation
- Ensure alignment with Defence security requirements and Authorisation to Operate (ATO/ATO-C) frameworks
- Conduct and support security architecture reviews and assurance activities
- Identify, assess and manage risks, vulnerabilities and compliance gaps
- Provide guidance on security controls, governance frameworks and compliance obligations
- Support embedded assessor and assurance processes
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure compliance is integrated into solution design and delivery
- Contribute to evidence generation to support Commonwealth acceptance and assurance activities
About You
We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.
Essential For This Role
- Proven experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) within ICT, Defence or government environments
- Robust understanding of security frameworks, risk management and compliance practices
- Experience supporting ATO / accreditation / assurance processes in regulated environments
- Ability to review and interpret technical designs from a governance and risk perspective
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to communicate risk, compliance and assurance concepts clearly
- Experience working across multidisciplinary delivery teams
Advantageous, But Not Essential
- Experience within Defence or national security environments
- Exposure to secure ICT systems, networks or geospatial capabilities
- Familiarity with security control frameworks and audit processes
- Experience supporting system integration and delivery in governed environments
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold, or be eligible to obtain NV2 security clearance and DISA.
