Bethanie Home Care offers a variety of services to aging Australians, allowing them to live independently in their own homes throughout Perth, Geraldton, and in the South West.
We provide support with day-to-day living including domestic assistance and gardening services, as well as respite services and social support.
Position: Unqualified Support Worker (Geraldton)
Commitment:
- Permanent part time employment, working a minimum of 12 hours per week
- Available between the hours of 8:30am – 3pm across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Travel allowance per kilometre will be provided for use of your own car.
About You
- Previous experience working in an aged care or community care environment will be desirable
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
The Role
- Professionally deliver a variety of services including food preparation, cleaning, and laundry services, as well as supporting hobbies, interests and leisure activities.
- Ensure all living areas of clients’ homes are kept clean, tidy and safe from hazards.
- Support clients with transport to appointments.
- Provide social support to clients by spending time doing the things they love.
- Prioritise a personal connection with clients, ensuring respect and compassion is shown at all time.
