Emerald Carrying Company is seeking reliable, safety-focused and skilled MC Fuel Tanker Drivers to join our transport operations team with our Gladstone and Gracemere Depots

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bulk fuel products, ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations, road laws, and company safety standards.

No Fuel Experience. No Problem.

We welcome applications from MC drivers without prior fuel tanker experience. Our comprehensive training program is designed to give you the skills, confidence, and accreditation required to operate safely and professionally as a Fuel Tanker Driver.

The Role

- Safely load and unload fuel in accordance with all operational and safety procedures.
- Perform thorough pre-start and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and associated equipment.
- Strictly follow site safety protocols, compliance standards, and fatigue management requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with customers and site personnel.
- Comply with all relevant fatigue management regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and road transport legislation.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation, logbooks, and required reporting records.

The Roster/s

Gladstone

- 7 Rostered Shifts / 7 Non-Rostered Shifts - Enjoy a work/life balance and work 50% of the year

Gracemere

- 5/5/5 Roster = 5 AM Shifts / 5 PM Shifts / 5 Non-Rostered Shifts
- Relief Driver = providing coverage across multiple runs, depots, or shifts as operational requirements

What We Offer





- Extensive in-house fuel tanker training provided prior to transitioning to solo driving responsibilities
- Return home after every shift, with all shifts commencing and concluding at your designated depot
- Competitive remuneration per hour (dependent upon truck allocation) + allowances with weekly pay cycles.
- B Double Allocation - $58.23 per hour
- Road Train Allocation - $60.67 per hour
- Well-maintained equipment with on-site Truck Washing facilities and Workshops.
- Supportive team environment with strong management and mentoring from experienced fuel drivers.

About You

- Current MC licence (any industry experience is welcomed) with manual driving experience.
- Current Dangerous Goods (DG) licence or a willingness to obtain.
- Previous bulk fuel experience is highly provided but not essential.
- Safe Load Pass / Basic Fatigue Management Certifications.
- Complete training for candidates needing to obtain certifications.
- All applicants must be prepared to undertake the following -
- Criminal History Check
- 10yr Traffic History Check
- Pre-employment Medical including Drug & Alcohol testing
