About the Role
Are you a Dermal Clinician with a passion for Photodynamic Therapy and exceptional skin cancer outcomes?
Reporting to the National Lead Nurse, you will support the implementation, delivery and education of Photodynamic Therapy (PDT), working closely with our doctors and nursing teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. This role will see you working across and supporting our clinics in Queensland, primarily the Greater Brisbane and Sunshine Coast regions.
Combining hands-on clinical treatments with education and mentoring, you'll be a key link in building best-practice PDT services across our network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and support Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) treatments
- Deliver both conventional LED PDT and Daylight PDT
- Support Total Body Photography
- Support the development and maintenance of best practice PDT protocols
- Educate and mentor nursing staff in PDT techniques and patient management
- Provide support to doctors and nurses across clinics
- Assist with the implementation of new PDT services across clinics
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and strict patient confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and organisational policy
- Support quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Educate patients on skin cancer prevention and post-treatment care
What We are Looking For:
- Qualification in Dermal Therapy or Dermal Science – Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma
- Previous experience performing LED Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)
- Excellent understanding of skin cancer management and actinic keratosis treatment
- Outstanding communication and patient education skills
- Ability to educate, mentor and support clinical teams
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care
- Experience working in a medical or skin cancer practice (desirable)
- Experience performing Daylight PDT (desirable)
- Willingness to travel between clinics across Greater Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast
