Maxwell Recruitment and Training have been a specialist supplier of skilled labour into the heavy industry for over 15 years and currently have opportunities for 1st year Apprentice Carpenters.

Successful candidates will have a genuine interest in building and construction, will not be afraid to get their hands dirty and have a desire to learn new skills with the goal of becoming Trade Qualified, then progressing further post trade.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the construction, installation and maintenance of formwork, timber structures, framing, fix-outs and general carpentry works on commercial construction sites
- Work across various commercial construction projects throughout Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Valley
- Follow site safety procedures and protocols
- Shadow experienced Tradespeople and support the team with daily site tasks
- Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling and installing materials under supervision

What We're Looking For:

- Genuine interest in Carpentry with a focus on getting a trade qualification
- We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
- Reasonable writing and computer skills, valuable level of Math and English
- Current Drivers' Licence
- Must have completed year 10 (as a minimum)
- Whitecard (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
