PACK & SEND are seeking anexperienced Logistics Co-ordinator/Sales Assistantfor the PACK & SEND Service Centre in Surry Hills/Chippendale. This is a busy customer-focused Service Centre seeking an experienced freight/logistics professional, who has worked within a similar fast-paced environment.

The position is CASUAL, however, has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate/s. You must be available to work days (and evenings during peak periods) and Saturdays, in line with rostering requirements.

The hours will be Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 14:30

Alternate weeks then:

Monday to Friday: 11:30 - 17:30

Saturday: 08:00 - 13:00

This role entails the following responsibilities:

Operations

- Arranging and performing pick-ups and deliveries with PACK & SEND branded vehicle
- Weighing, measuring and consigning all packages correctly
- Packaging all consignments correctly using professional packaging techniques to minimise warranty claims and to ensure safe delivery
- Complete all administrative tasks assigned in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of the Retail Service Centre
- Embrace and adhere to the Company's "No Limits" culture
- Tracking and tracing consignments as instructed by the Store Manager and issuing delivery confirmations
- Servicing and maintaining equipment
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and their delivery drivers
- Assist the Store Manager with the sales aspects of the business in accordance with the business system outlined in PACK & SEND's Confidential Operations Manual
- Professional handling of Over-The-Counter-Sales, telephone sales, web estimate requests and online sales transactions
- Providing exceptional levels of customer service
- Assisting customers with professional advice, pricing, and selling our range of logistics, freight and packing solutions in person, over the phone, and through other communication channels




- Making phone calls, sending emails, and communicating with customers and suppliers dailyli>
- Invoicing, consigning parcels, and freight management using our computer systems
- Tracking and tracing consignments on our system and resolving delivery/customer issues
- Helping with the lifting, measuring and packing of items, from small parcels to large
- Completing various administrative tasks within agreed timeframes to ensure the smooth running of the Retail Service Centre
- Driving a PACK & SEND van to local locations for pick up and deliveries. Must have a driver's licence to drive a PACK & SEND van.

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate with access to comprehensive operation guides, world-class training material and ongoing coaching, development, and support.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have the following:

- Logistics Expertise: Solid understanding of domestic and international freight networks and customs requirements.
- Attention to Detail: High precision in documentation and a "right first time" approach to packing fragile goods.
- Efficiency: Ability to manage high volumes and tight dispatch deadlines without compromising quality.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift items weighing up to 25kg and operate basic warehouse equipment (hand trolleys, tape dispensers, etc.).
- Organisational Skills: A methodical and demonstrated approach to prioritising tasks in a quick-paced retail/warehouse hybrid environment.

Good communication skills both written and verbal

Well-presented and have excellent work ethics

Self-driven and have strong customer focus skills and experience

Enthusiastic and energetic

Flexible availability to work various shifts.
