Our Lifestyle Team plays a vital role in making each day engaging, enjoyable and fulfilling for the people who call Hawkesbury Living home.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and creative Recreational Activity Officer (RAO) to join our friendly Lifestyle Team on a permanent basis.
About the Role
No two days are the same! As part of our Lifestyle Team, you will:
- Deliver engaging group and one-to-one lifestyle programs.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities that support their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
- Assist with bus outings, special events,
entertainers, volunteers and community visits.
- Support residents living with dementia through person-centred engagement.
- Contribute recent ideas and creativity to our lifestyle calendar.
- Complete resident documentation and lifestyle records in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys making a difference in the lives of older people.
You will have:
- A warm, caring and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, outgoing personality with plenty of enthusiasm.
- Creativity, initiative and a passion for making every day meaningful.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience delivering recreational or lifestyle activities within aged care (preferred).
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, or currently enrolled and actively working towards completion.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster between Monday and Sunday, 8:30 am – 7:30 pm.
