About the Position
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position will support the effective delivery of Human Resources Services across a geographically dispersed workforce of 700. You will provide practical first-line human resources guidance, assisting managers with routine people matters, supporting consistent people practices and ensuring reliable processes across the employee lifecycle. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate employment processes and reliable records.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide practical first-line HR guidance and support on employment agreements, workplace polices, National Employment Standards, industrial instruments and other employment arrangement.
- Respond to HR queries and guide managers & employees on approved processes, policies and procedures.
- Support with probation, performance, conduct and attendance matters.
- Support recruitment activities,
including position description preparation, advertisements, interviews, pre-employment checks, onboarding and induction processes.
- Support training and development activities as well as cyclical HR activities, including performance reviews, remuneration review processes, engagement activities, policy updates and HR process improvements.
- Prepare & maintain accurate employment documentation and records.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A Minimum Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Human Resources (Essential).
- A proven track record of experience in human resources with exposure to operational HR support and first-line advisory matters.
- The ability to apply workplace policies, employment conditions and HR procedures in a practical and consistent way.
- Experience supporting managers with routine people matters, including preparing documentation, coordinating next steps and maintaining appropriate records.
