About the Role

Excellent opportunity for a customer service superstar to join our small supportive team as a Medical Receptionist. The role requires rotating across our four clinics in Hobart – Hobart City, Women’s Imaging, Rosny and Glenorchy. This permanent part‑time position is rostered Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Successful candidates must be available every day during the week and must be comfortable being rostered at any of the four clinics.

As a medical receptionist, you will be responsible for managing all phone enquiries in a timely, professional and confidential manner, greeting patients upon arrival, scheduling appointments, issuing patient invoices/receipts and processing Medicare rebates as required, entering and updating patient registration details, and keeping the reception and waiting area clean and presentable at all times.

Responsibilities

- Answering Calls – be the friendly, professional voice that patients and referrers hear.
- Scheduling – use our state‑of‑the‑art RIS system (Visage).
- Maximising Efficiency – keep things running smoothly by managing appointments.
- Referrals – action patient referrals from multi‑disciplinary teams.




- Prepping Patients – provide explicit communication to patients about preparation, cost estimates and other requirements.
