About the role

We're looking for a Business Development & Relationship Manager to grow our Queensland business and be the trusted point of contact for our hire and rental company customers. You'll win new business, deepen key accounts and grow our sub-hire book — selling machines, coordinating cross-hire, and connecting customers to our service and rebuild capabilities. Own QLD with the autonomy to run it, backed by a national team and a 40+ year reputation.

What you'll be doing

- Building and owning long‑term relationships with hire and rental business customers — their first call for equipment, sub‑hire and support
- Growing our sub‑hire (cross‑hire) book — supplying rental partners and sourcing units to fill customer requirements
- Winning new business and growing key accounts across QLD — rental




- Selling new and used elevated work platforms — scissor lifts and boom lifts
- Introducing customers to our service, major rebuild and refinishing capabilities
- Managing the full cycle — prospecting, quoting, negotiating, closing and after‑sales follow‑up
- Being the face of Access Markets in QLD at site visits, trade shows and industry events

What you'll bring

- Proven B2B business development and account management experience — access/EWP, plant or equipment hire highly regarded
- Existing relationships across the QLD hire and rental market a strong advantage
- A feel for sub‑hire / cross‑hire and how rental businesses operate
- A relationship‑builder who plays the long game and can still open new doors
- Strong access‑equipment product knowledge, or the drive to learn quick
- Commercially sharp — confident quoting, negotiating and protecting margin
- A self‑starter with a current driver’s licence, comfortable owning QLD end to end
