The College is seeking a Teacher Aidefor lower Primary.This position will commence the middle of August and continue to the end of the school year.
The successful candidate must possess the following requirements:
- Relevant qualifications IV in Education Support
- Demonstrate an understanding of the educational, social and emotional needs of children
- Assist teachers and students with teaching and learning activities.
- Display respect and empathy for all students, and especially those with additional learning needs.
- Display confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents
- Be willing to take on career development and attend team meetings as required
Ideally you will have:
- At least 5 years experience as a Classroom Teacher Aide
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to work as part of a team
- You will also demonstrate an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes
