Business Manager - New secondary school in Logan Reserve

About the Role:

Working closely with and reporting to the foundation Business Manager, you will play a key role in establishing effective administrative and operational systems that underpin the school's success. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate, learn, and grow professionally while helping build solid, efficient, and future-focused business operations from the ground up.

As part of a shared, co-located secondary school and special school campus, you will contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and highly team-oriented workplace culture that supports staff, students and the broader community. Working in close partnership with colleagues across both settings, you will help design, implement, and embed responsive, sustainable, and inclusive administrative practices that meet the needs of a diverse learning setting.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the school's business operations.
- Supervise, support, and develop school support staff.
- Manage budgets, finances, payroll, purchasing, and financial reporting.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure financial compliance.
- Oversee facilities, maintenance, contractors, and school resources.
- Coordinate recruitment, induction, training and workforce planning.
- Provide high-level administrative support, reports, and correspondence.
- Build positive relationships with staff, community members, and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficient service delivery.
- Support student wellbeing through responsive and professional interactions.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, departmental policies and school procedures.
