New pharmacy servicing The Solace Clinic, Maroochydore.
Full time or Permanent Part-Time Role 24-38 hrs/week
Salary commensurate with experience
The Wesley Pharmacy Group operates a network of pharmacies across community, medical centre, and specialist clinic settings. We're growing our clinical team and looking for a pharmacist who enjoys meaningful patient interaction and wants more variety than a typical dispensary role can offer. This is a unique opportunity to help shape pharmacy services from the ground up in a supportive, patient-centred environment.
About the role
This is a hands-on clinical pharmacist position. You'll spend your time doing what pharmacists do best - counselling patients, optimising their medications, and ensuring secure, accurate dispensing. No two days are the same, and you'll build genuine relationships with the patients and clinical team around you.
Key responsibilities
- Providing direct clinical counselling to patients on their medications and managing treatment-related symptoms
- Assistance with ancillary medications to support treatment and recovery
- Dispensing of medications for clinical trials, adhering to relevant protocols
- Preparation and dispensing of discharge medications
- Some compounding and reconstitution of medications in a clean room environment (training provided)
What we're looking for
- Registration with AHPRA as a pharmacist in good standing - Required
- Strong patient counselling and communication skills - Required
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced clinical setting - Required
- Experience in oncology or chemotherapy pharmacy practice - Desirable
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and clean room procedures - Desirable
- Exposure to clinical trials dispensing - Desirable
What we offer
- Competitive salary package reflecting your experience and expertise
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
- Opportunity to develop specialised oncology pharmacy skills
- Flexible part-time hours: 24-38 hrs per week by negotiation
Chemotherapy experience is welcomed but not essential - we encourage applications from pharmacists eager to develop their oncology practice. Only applicants with Australian work rights will be considered.
