Senior ICT Business Analyst
NSW Government organisation – hybrid office & WFH (Sydney Olympic Park & Parramatta) – ASAP start – initial 12 month assignment - $969 per day (including super)
Key accountabilities:
- Work with relevant stakeholders to understand business needs; capture, analyse and document requirements; and support the delivery of ICT solutions that meet business needs
- Enhance corporate and business systems by understanding the technical development and business lifecycle to align processes with required capability
- Analyse and consolidate information to develop business cases to support achievement of business objectives and deliver effective ICT support
- Manage and develop external and internal relationships with stakeholders and key clients to identify, analyse and document how business capability may be delivered with existing or future ICT solutions
- Provide gap analysis of as-is and to-be business processes and advice about the feasibility and suitability of proposed solutions to optimise business performance
- Act as the business advocate in continuous improvement processes and relay advice about technical issue in plain language
- Lead the integration of recent capabilities into IT Service Management processes and applications
Selection criteria:
- Demonstrated superior communication (oral and written) with advanced stakeholder and SMEs engagement skills and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to develop and maintain sound working relationships with end users, key stakeholders, suppliers, and project team members
- Proven experience conducting workshops with business and technical SMEs, eliciting technical requirements supporting business and project needs
- Proven experience working as a technical analyst, across agile and/or waterfall delivery models for major ICT programs / projects.
- Demonstrated experience as a business analyst in developing technical requirements from abstract briefs and preparing functional specifications with complex or large information systems.
- Extensive experience in the development of instructional and procedural documentation and presentations.
- Demonstrated organisational, time management and prioritising skills;
- Highly developed skills in computer literacy, particularly in business productivity products – Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
- Business Analysis certification such as IIBA / Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
