Role type: Part-time; Fixed-term for 10 months.

Faculty: Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.

Department/School: Centre for Youth Mental Health.

Salary: Level B - $124,656 - $148,023 p.a. plus 17% super.

Position Overview

Impactful youth mental health research role. Lead advanced MRI and MEG analyses. Shape an innovative clinical-research registry. Play a key role in youth eating disorders research.

What you will deliver

- Lead consolidation, analysis and publication of structural and functional MRI data in eating disorders.
- Lead resting-state MEG data analysis and produce high-quality publications with the multidisciplinary research team.
- Help design and implement a robust data collection platform for the new clinical-research registry.
- Conduct literature reviews, prepare reports and contribute to grant applications and other research outputs.
- Support the broader eating disorders research programme through collaborative projects and essential administrative tasks.

Who you may be a great fit if you

- Hold a PhD in neuroscience, psychology, bioinformatics or a closely related discipline.
- Bring demonstrated experience analysing structural and functional MRI data and/or MEG datasets.
- Apply strong coding skills to support database design, registry set-up and complex data analysis.
- Demonstrate a track record of independent and team-based research, including publications or equivalent outputs.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple projects, deadlines and shifting research priorities.
- Offer experience with MRS, clinical registries, eating disorders or EMR data linkage, or motivation to develop this.
