Production Machine Operator – Magnet Manufacturing

Prestons, NSW | Full-Time, 38 hrs/week | $35–$38/hr + overtime + end-of-year bonus

Ever wondered where fridge magnets come from? Wonder no more — they come from us. We're an established Australian manufacturer supplying magnets and magnetic products to printers, real estate agents and businesses right across the country, and we're looking for a hands-on machine operator to join our production team.

This is a genuine all-rounder role for someone who likes variety, takes pride in their work, and wants to master proper manufacturing equipment — not stand in one spot pressing the same button all day.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operating our printing and laminating machinery to produce finished magnetic sheet
- Running our specialist magnet autobond machine — full training provided on this one, as there aren't many of them around
- Operating the cutting press to punch magnets into shape
- Breaking up cut shapes and packing finished product into boxes, ready for dispatch
- Carrying out routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to keep everything running smoothly
- Warehouse duties — stock management, goods in and out, keeping things organised
- Forklift driving
- Quality control — checking product off the machines and making sure only good stock goes out the door
- General housekeeping — keeping the factory floor clean,

Who We're Looking For

- Experience in the printing industry, or a similar background operating production machinery, will put you at the front of the queue
- A current forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
- Mechanically minded — comfortable doing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- A good eye for detail and quality — you notice when something's not right
- Physically fit and happy with hands-on work, including lifting and packing
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious — you take pride in a clean, well-run floor
