The role:

Applications are invited from highly qualified Secondary Teachers (from any subject / KLA currently offered by Kambala) for the following position.This is a permanent full time role commencing Term 1, 2027.

- Head of Year (Year Coordinator).
- Initial 3-year tenure, subject to review in final year.
- 12 period time allocation per cycle.

The ideal candidate:

- NESA-accredited to teach in NSW (any subject specialisation) with Proficient accreditation.
- Post-graduate qualications (e.g. in Wellbeing or Educational Leadership) highly regarded (but not essential).
- At least 5 years' full-time equivalent teaching experience.
- At least 1 year's experience in a Year Coordinator / Head of Year role or similar leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated understanding of the diverse responsibilities, expectations, and accountabilities of the Head of Year position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the factors that contribute to the wellbeing, belonging and flourishing of adolescent girls.
- Demonstrated understanding of thebenefits of girls-only education.
- With the support of the wider Pastoral Care team,



ability to proactively take ownership of all matters relevant to the allocated year group.
- Willingness to be present, visible, and a positive representation of the cohort and ofKambala at all annual events and activities, both internal and external.
- Open-minded and forward-thinking in pedagogicaland pastoral practice.
- A confident and communicative team player who makes a positive contribution to the life and culture of Kambala.
