Overview

Aurec and Chalfont are supporting the delivery of a significant Australian Defence program in Canberra and are seeking experienced engineers to build, connect and harden the secure environments behind a mission-critical capability. Several positions are available across platform, integration and systems engineering — tell us which fits you best.

The roles

- Platform Engineer - Build and automate secure cloud and on-premise hosting environments so they are repeatable, scalable and well-governed.
- Integration Engineer - Connect systems, services and data across the environment using up-to-date messaging, APIs and middleware.
- Integration / Systems Engineer - Lead requirements analysis, design synthesis and cross-domain solution design, and author engineering specifications to recognised standards.

What you'll bring

- Hands-on engineering across cloud (AWS and/or Azure) and both Linux and Windows Server environments
- For platform roles: containers and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Kubernetes / OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible)
- For integration roles: middleware,



messaging and APIs (e.g. Kafka, API gateways, REST)
- For systems engineering: requirements, design synthesis and specification authoring against recognised engineering standards
- A track record of delivering in secure, complex or regulated environments

Highly desirable

- Experience in Defence or the national-security sector
- A current NV2 Australian Government security clearance

Eligibility

- Australian citizenship is required (a prerequisite for an Australian Government security clearance).
