About the role

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative Team Leader for Planning & Contract Support to play a key role in the delivery and continuous improvement of Western Australia’s student transport network. Leading a small, high‑performing team, you will oversee the planning, review, and development of school bus services across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote WA, ensuring students have access to safe, reliable and cost‑effective transport solutions.

Responsibilities

- Lead service planning initiatives, procurement and contract management activities for school bus services.
- Conduct complex investigations and policy development to support network improvements.
- Manage relationships with contractors, schools, community groups and government stakeholders.
- Organise and plan work and resources to meet targets, conduct performance management and coordinate training for the team.
- Analyse complex information and develop practical, innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

- Experience in contract management, procurement, service planning or a related field.
- Strong leadership and management skills,



including performance management and team training.
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, written, verbal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to negotiate outcomes with internal and external clients at all levels.
- Experience working with diverse groups and conveying concepts to individuals and groups, including large meetings.
