About the Role
We are seeking casual Lecturers (Academic Level B) in Cybersecurity to help shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging face‑to‑face lessons, ensuring high‑quality instruction for students at various levels of expertise.
- Teach a range of cybersecurity topics for our Bachelor of Cybersecurity and/or Master of Cybersecurity courses.
- Foster a dynamic learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Provide feedback and support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with other faculty members to contribute to a strong cybersecurity curriculum.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest trends and developments in the field of cybersecurity.
What We’re Looking For
- Applicants must have valid Australian work rights including Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa.
- A Master in Cybersecurity or closely related discipline to teach at undergraduate level
- A PhD in Cybersecurity or closely related discipline to teach at postgraduate level
- A strong background in cybersecurity, with preferably hands‑on experience in areas like network security, ethical hacking, risk management and incident response
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience at the same level applying for
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible and engaging way.
- Familiarity with LMS (e.g., Moodle)
- Relevant industry experience
- Relevant industry certifications
Seminar
Applicants invited for interview may be expected to present a seminar in conjunction with the selection interview process.
Appointment Conditions
An appointment to this position is subject to the verification of the highest academic qualification from the conferring institution.
