About Birch & Waite

At Birch & Waite, we create chef-quality mayonnaise, dressings, sauces and desserts that help Australians make everyday meals extraordinary. We're proud of our legacy and just as excited about what we're building next.

Role Overview

Accurate inventory is the backbone of a reliable supply chain, keeping production running, stock levels right and costs under control. This role exists to protect that accuracy day to day.

We're looking for an Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock integrity across our Sydney sites. You'll work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Logistics and Finance to keep our inventory data accurate, our processes tight and our operations running smoothly.

This role suits someone who takes pride in getting the numbers right, enjoys solving discrepancies rather than just flagging them, and wants their organisational skills to have a direct, visible impact on the business.

About The Role

Reporting into the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you'll take ownership of inventory accuracy and control across all sites. Day to day, you can expect to:

- Keep inventory records accurate and up to date
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and inventory issues
- Monitor material usage and identify unusual stock movements
- Process stock write-offs and arrange disposal of obsolete or damaged materials
- Support pallet and packaging stock control
- Prepare and share regular inventory reports
- Work with Planning and Purchasing teams to help maintain optimal stock levels
- Assist with setting up recent products and materials in company systems

- Identify and drive improvements to inventory processes and controls
- Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe workplace

What We're Looking For:

This role will suit someone who understands that accurate inventory data protects the whole business, from production planning to the bottom line. You'll bring:

- Experience in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain management
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Solid problem-solving and organisational skills
- Intermediate Excel proficiency, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work across different teams
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

You will probably enjoy this role if you:

- Have a genuine eye for detail and take satisfaction in tracking down a discrepancy
- Bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Enjoy working across teams and building good working relationships
- Are committed to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
- Like having real ownership and visibility over your work

Why Join Birch & Waite?

- Be part of a team delivering real impact in a fast-growing FMCG business
- Opportunity to partner closely with senior leaders and operational teams
- Values-led organisation: Together, Committed, Creative, Authentic
- A role with genuine ownership, visibility and impact

Ready to Join Us?

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experiences. If you are looking for a role where you can see the impact of your work every day, challenge your skills and grow within a dynamic organisation, we would love to hear from you.
