Bus Driver position in Rooty Hill (Class LR)

Permanent Part time Position

8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday

About Us

Our Lady Of Consolation Aged Care & Services is a proud and independent Not-For-Profit organisation housing up to 300 elderly residents based in Rooty Hill in Sydney’s Western Suburbs. We also provide home care services to up to 2000 elderly residents across the Sydney Metro Region assisting them to remain in their homes for longer. Our focus is on helping the elderly to be as active and able as they can be, regardless of their underlying health conditions.

The Role

We have an existing opportunity for a bus driver to join our Leisure and Lifestyle team on a permanent part-time basis, offering residents bus-trips to a range of exciting locations and engaging activities.

- Operate a Mercedes Sprinter or Mitsubishi Fusio
- Provide assistance to residents as they enter and exit the vehicle
- Participating in various programs and activities when required
- Working to a scheduled roster and communicate any changes or delays to the Leisure and Lifestyle Manager
- Researching appropriate venues to add new and exciting outings for residents




- Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle on a daily basis

About You

- You will have a strong focus on resident wellbeing and be able to adapt your work practices to a range of resident needs.
- Hold a current Class LR NSW Drivers Licence with a clean driving record
- Demonstrated experience driving an LR vehicle or above
- Have a genuine interested and want to facilitate outings and accompany residents
- Able to communicate and socialise with residents in an appropriate manner
- Are flexible, adaptive, vibrant, and supportive in nature
- Experience working in Aged Care and/or with people who have dementia is highly advantageous

Please note the successful applicant must have three (3) Covid injections documented by the time of commencement.
