Sales Manager – Technology & IT Infrastructure
Uplift Recruitment – Sydney Hills District NSW
Sales Manager – Technology & Infrastructure
Lead an established sales team within a growing technology and infrastructure solutions business. You’ll coach performance, strengthen enterprise customer relationships and help the team convert more opportunities across an existing account base.
Based in North‑West Sydney, our client provides technology, hardware and infrastructure solutions to commercial, enterprise and government customers. They are looking for a hands‑on Sales Manager who can bring structure, energy and commercial focus to a small sales team while maintaining the high level of service their customers expect.
The opportunity
This is a genuine people‑leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the team and actively involved in their development.
You’ll lead the team’s daily rhythm, provide individual coaching and help salespeople improve the way they identify, qualify and progress opportunities. You’ll also guide them to build broader relationships within their accounts, engage the right stakeholders and become more commercially effective.
The business already has an established customer base and strong industry relationships. Your role will be to help the team create more value from those relationships while continuing to provide responsive, knowledgeable and reliable service.
While this is not a personal‑contributor sales position, you’ll remain close to key opportunities and customer conversations. When a deal needs additional experience, direction or commercial judgement, you’ll be there to support the team.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead, coach and develop a small technology sales team
- Run focused daily sales meetings and regular one‑on‑one sessions
- Set and monitor individual goals across activity, pipeline and revenue
- Help the team grow relationships across existing customer accounts
- Improve opportunity qualification, conversion rates and profitability
- Coach the team on effective customer conversations and account planning
- Review pipelines and ensure opportunities are progressed appropriately
- Support important or complex customer engagements when required
- Maintain high standards of customer service and responsiveness
- Ensure CRM records, customer notes and sales activity remain accurate
- Work with Sales Administration to provide meaningful performance reporting
- Identify and implement improvements to sales processes
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience leading, coaching or developing a B2B sales team with solid exposure to Enterprise, Government or Defence decision maker processes and styles.
- Exposure to technology, IT hardware, infrastructure or complex solutions
- A strong understanding of consultative and relationship‑led selling
- Experience growing revenue within existing enterprise accounts
- The ability to motivate and manage different personality types
- Confidence setting expectations and addressing performance constructively
- Commercial awareness across pricing, conversion and deal profitability
- Strong communication skills across phone, video and face‑to‑face engagement
- Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot
- Confidence working with sales data, reporting and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisation, time management and follow‑through
- A genuine interest in technology and how it can solve business challenges
Experience selling to Defence, government or highly regulated customers would be highly regarded, but it is not essential. Solid candidates from broader technology, infrastructure, telecommunications, distribution or solutions‑led sales environments are encouraged to apply.
Why consider this opportunity?
You’ll be joining an established Australian business where your leadership will have a visible impact. This is a chance to shape team performance, improve sales capability and help a growing technology organisation get more from its people and customer relationships. This role would mean stepping into an already high performing team which have smashed their 2026 goals, with little to no staff turnover and a mature and competent group.
You’ll benefit from:
- An established enterprise customer portfolio
- A small team where your coaching can make a genuine difference
- Direct access to experienced business leaders
- The freedom to contribute ideas and improve sales processes
- Exposure to technology and infrastructure projects
- A business that values long‑term relationships over short‑term transactions
- Reasonable flexibility when personal circumstances arise
- Hybrid working available once you are established in the role
The first six months will be primarily office‑based, allowing you to learn the solutions, understand the customer base and build strong relationships with your team. Following this period, a hybrid working arrangement may be available. The business is also reasonable and flexible when genuine personal needs arise.
Location: North‑West Sydney
Hours: Monday to Friday
Working arrangement: Office-based for six months, then hybrid
If you’re a commercially minded sales leader who enjoys developing people and has a genuine interest in technology and infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you.
