We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Pharmacy Assistant/ Retail Manager to join our newly opened Terry White Chemmart Pharmacy Melrose Central in the brand new Melrose Central Shopping Centre. This role is suited to a professional retail-focused person who can uphold high standards of customer service, merchandising, and store presentation within a modern community pharmacy. This is a flagship store located inside the brand new Melrose Central, which is just not a shopping Centre, It is a major lifestyle precinct with 90 plus retailers. You will be working in a brand new architect designed pharmacy in the heart of a buzzing, modern precinct. Who wouldn't want to work here ?

What you'll be doing

- Overseeing all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and stock control
- Leading, motivating and developing a retail team to ensure high levels of customer service and sales performance
- Implementing and maintaining visual merchandising standards to create an attractive shopping setting
- Managing sales targets and KPIs, analysing performance data and implementing strategies to maximise revenue
- Recruiting, training and coaching staff members to develop their skills and career progression
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and addressing any complaints or concerns professionally
- Collaborating with head office teams to implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities
- Maintaining a safe, clean and secure store environment for both staff and customers

What we're looking for

- Proficiency with FRED Office for POS




- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
- Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, stock control and merchandising
- Experience with ELS equipment highly regarded
- Experience in a TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacy highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressureHigh level of organisation and attention to detail
- Desirable: Experience in the health, wellness or pharmacy retail sector
