The AOD Research Coordinator works closely with the NSW Ministry of Health, the Drug and Alcohol Clinical Research and Improvement Network (DACRIN) and other NSW research partners, to support research that will align with NSW AOD research priorities.

Health Manager 4 role, starting salary from $153,559 - $182,954 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 38-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing

The role is responsible for

Generating AOD research priorities and evidence that improves service delivery and consumer outcomes in NSW.

Strengthening strategic collaboration between agencies.

Support the involvement of consumers and end-users throughout research processes.

Building AOD research capacity in NSW.

Providing expert advice and leadership.

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

Tertiary qualifications in health. Higher tertiary qualifications in a relevant area of health science or demonstrated equivalent professional experience would be desirable.





Demonstrated knowledge of the AOD sector, AOD research and the NSW or Australian health system.

Experience in clinical research and/or clinical trials, including knowledge of ethical, data management and regulatory procedures.

Demonstrated extensive management skills and experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of strategic research policies and guidelines.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team, to problem solve/manage complex issues and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated high‑level verbal and written communication skills, as well as negotiation, resilience, decision making and influence, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
