The George Centre is a private provider of health services, family focused and offering Maternity, Paediatrics, Day and Short Stay Surgical services to Camden, Campbelltown, and surrounding areas. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Part Time After Hours Manager, who will be responsible for the afterhours management of the hospital by coordinating patient admissions and movements, along with managing hospital resources, being the emergency coordinator, authorisation of staff and maintenance contractor call-in and providing clinical support as indicated.

Duties:

- Manage and supervise Staff.
- Operational management of the hospital after hours
- Receive clinical handover from unit team leaders, identifying patients at risk of clinical deterioration. Monitor and provide support as required.
- Ensure clinical capability of hospital / facility is assessed against individual patient needs.
- Liaise with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), Resident Medical Officers (RMOs). General Practitioners (GPs) as required to ensure the safety of patient.
- Labour management
- Medical Emergency team member
- The After-Hours Manager will keep the Executive Member on-call informed of all significant events.

Skills & Experience

- Management Leadership skills with at least 2 years experience
- Advanced level of clinical skills




- Registered Nurse with at least 5 years’ experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
- Ability to manage complaints, conflicts and performance issues when they arise
- Post Grad Management Qualifications or working towards
