Grandma Moses Bakery is a kosher bakery that supplies all manner of customers who can dine in or take-away, with freshly baked breads, bagels, cakes, biscuits and pastries. We are currently looking for an experienced Baker to join our team in Kensington. To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate a level of skill commensurate with a relevant AQF Certificate III or higher qualification and at least two years of relevant employment experience OR at least 3 years of relevant employment experience.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:





- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations;
- Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients;
- Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread and rolls;
- Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment;
- Glazing buns with cream and icing;
- Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough;
- Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times;
- Operating machines which roll and mould dough;
- Preparing bread and roll fillings.
