Anaesthetic Technician (CCT)

Employment Term: Full time
Location: St Andrews War Memorial Hospital, Brisbane
Remuneration: $35.29 - $43.59 per hour + Super + Not‑for‑Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

What you will do

- Support the clinical and operational delivery of anaesthetic services within the Cardiac Catheter Theatre.
- Prepare, maintain and troubleshoot specialised anaesthetic equipment and monitoring systems.
- Assist anaesthetists and multidisciplinary team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition throughout procedures.
- Maintain safe, efficient and effective peri‑procedural care for patients.
- Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, patient safety and continuous improvement.
- Support introduction and evaluation of new equipment and technologies where required.

Qualifications and Experience

- Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as an anaesthetic technician within an acute healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of advanced anaesthetic equipment, monitoring techniques and emergency management protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high‑acuity environment supporting complex cardiac procedures.




- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with ability to build solid relationships across the multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and evidence‑based practice.
- Australian working rights (no sponsorship).
- Availability to participate in an on‑call roster.
- Willingness to meet vaccination and immunisation requirements in line with hospital infection prevention and control standards.
