Cabinet Maker — Day Shift, Premium Work, Friday Early Finish
Since 1947, we’ve built premium, custom cabinetry across SEQ. In-house manufacturing, up-to-date equipment, and a supportive, family-first team culture where quality and reliability matter.
The role
As a Cabinet Maker, you’ll turn CNC-cut components into square, true, defect-free units ready for install. This isn’t box-building — it’s custom cabinetry: complex fit-ups, premium finishes, and pieces you’ll be proud to put your name on. You’ll assemble to drawings, fit and tune hardware, protect finishes, and keep throughput on schedule. You’ll report to the workshop manager and collaborate closely across the 17‑person team.
What you’ll do
- Assemble cabinetry from detailed shop drawings and cut lists
- Fit & tune hardware (e.g., Blum / Titus hinges & runners) for consistent reveals/soft-close
- In-process QC (diagonals, squareness, edge/finish checks) to minimise rework
- Prepare units for dispatch: protect, label, and stage by zone
- Maintain a tidy bench, follow safety procedures, and flag issues early
- Travelling to site, some installation of cabinetry
Must-haves
- Trade qualification in cabinet making/joinery or equivalent experience
- 3+ years factory-based cabinetry assembly experience
- Proven plan/drawing literacy and tolerance control at pace
- Hands‑on hardware installation and tuning (hinges, runners, drawers)
- Right to work in Australia; able to provide proof of trade/experience
- White Card and driver’s licence (site exposure occasionally helpful)
Nice‑to‑haves
- Experience with high end laminating (curves, counters etc.)
- Edge‑bander/panel‑saw familiarity for cross‑cover
Why you’ll like it here (What's in it for you)
- Day shift, early Friday finish – predictable hours, every weekend starts early.
- Modern workshop in Lawnton – clean, organised, and fully equipped with quality gear.
- Custom cabinetry, not box runs – real craft, real pride, work you’ll happily sign your name to.
- Top‑end pay – we value pace and precision, and reward both.
- Supportive 17‑person team – steady pipeline, no drama, everyone pulls their weight.
- Family‑first culture – established 1947, still run with old‑school pride and care.
- Extras that matter – uniforms, PPE, EAP, and even a proper coffee machine on‑site.
