About the Role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you will play an key leadership role while supporting children, families and your fellow educators.
You will have the prospect to develop your leadership capabilities by stepping into the Responsible Person role and contributing to the ongoing success of the service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver engaging, child-centred educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Lead, mentor and support fellow educators through positive role modelling
- Oversee observations, documentation, programming, critical reflection and children's learning outcomes
- Assist with curriculum planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), service policies and the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, families and the local community
- Step into the Responsible Person role when required
- Support the day-to-day operations of the service while maintaining high standards of education and care
- Foster a positive, collaborative and inclusive team culture
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (no visa sponsorship available)
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum qualification)
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and Education and Care Services National Regulations
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection qualifications
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Leadership experience or a genuine desire to further develop your leadership skills (highly desirable)
