About Us
GOC Care is an experienced Community Service Provider that has been caring for the community for over 40 years. We provide community-based services across Brisbane Metropolitan, Brisbane North and South, Redlands, and the Gold Coast regions.
We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable and motivated Aged Care Workers and Disability Support Workers to join our growing team and support clients living independently within their homes and communities.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our clients maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
Services provided by GOC Care include:
- In-home aged care support
- Disability community access and individual support
- Personal care assistance
- Domestic assistance
- Meal preparation
- Social support and companionship
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Respite services
- Supported Independent Living (SIL)
- Day Activity Centre (DAC) programs
- Respite Centre support
Opportunities are available across Brisbane North, Brisbane South, Redlands and surrounding areas.
Successful applicants will need flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekday services, community support shifts and sleepover shifts where required.
About You
Our ideal Support Worker is caring, reliable and passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Support or equivalent (preferred for care roles)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain for Disability Support Workers
- Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) desirable for Disability Support Workers
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable and registered vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks, including reaching, bending, lifting and transferring clients
