Fire & Security Engineer – North East area – £34,000‑£38,000 Basic

- Basic salary of £34,000 - £38,000 per annum
- Overtime available
- Permanent, full-time position
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Covering North East England areas
- Company vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone and specialist equipment supplied
- Travel time paid after the first 30 minutes each way
- 23 days annual leave + bank holidays, increasing with service

The Role

As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out:

- Installation, servicing and planned maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems
- Fault diagnosis, repairs and reactive call-outs when required




- Work across a broad range of commercial sites, alongside some residential projects
- Coverage across North East region
- Ensuring systems are compliant, fully operational and completed to industry standards
- Delivering a professional service and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Participation in the on‑call rota as part of the engineering team
- You will be working on a range of industry‑leading systems including:
- Kentec, Advanced, Morley, Hyfire & Cooper

Requirements

- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous experience in the fire and security industry
- Valuable working knowledge of a range of fire and/or security systems
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic ability
- The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Flexibility to take part in a call‑out rota
- A professional approach, strong work ethic and positive attitude
