MEP/ Electrical Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor

iCOST are seeking a MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) or Electrical Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor for a 3 August 2026 start.

About iCOST

iCOST are a commercial consultancy operating out of Sydney, NSW and servicing the whole of the Eastern seaboard of Australia and Perth (www.i-cost.com.au).

We provide commercial support to Tier 1 and Tier 2 Main Contractors and Developers.

The role:

We currently have an opening for a MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) or Electrical Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor within our Team.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

- A demonstrable 8+ years experience in MEP or Electrical Estimating/ Quantity Surveying roles
- Be able to work in Sydney at least 2 days per week
- Electrical estimating experience ESSENTIAL
- Experience working on Data Centers highly advantageous
- Experience working with a Data Centre developer/ provider and/ or Electrical Subcontractor,



highly advantageous
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as ProcurePro, Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and Bluebeam Revu
- Proficiency in CostX/ Cubit advantageous
- Must be able to critically analyse MEP tenders
- Must be able to take-off/ measure and use first-principles to ascertain reasonable cost/ value
- Must be able to rely upon knowledge/ bench-marking to provide cost estimators on very early design (10-20%)
- The ability to interpret project documentation so as to understand the scope of works, essential
