Pathways Program Coordinator & Student and Trainer Support Officer

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and people-focused Pathways Program Coordinator &Student; and Trainer Support Officer to join our Canberra & Online Campus team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting students, coordinating educational programs, building relationships with schools and industry partners, and contributing to a positive and engaging campus setting.

Excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, a sense of humour, and enthusiasm for working with passionate students in a creative and dynamic environment are highly valued.

In this position, you will undertake and help coordinate the following work as part of the Canberra & Online Campus team:

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinating pathway programs including VET in Schools, work experience programs, holidaycourses, beginner workshops, and short courses
- Supporting the promotion, administration, and growth of pathway programs
- Building and maintaining relationships with schools, industry partners, and communitystakeholders
- Providing administrative and pastoral support to students throughout their learningjourney
- Supporting student engagement, attendance, progression, and successful outcomes
- Providing administrative and coordination support to trainers and teaching staff
- Assisting with staff onboarding, training coordination, and professional developmentactivities
- Supporting day-to-day campus operations, including scheduling, resource coordination, andfacilities management
- Maintaining accurate student, academic, and administrative records
- Assisting with marketing activities, student recruitment initiatives, school outreachprograms, and industry engagement events
- Working collaboratively with National Administration, Admissions, Finance, andLeadership teams
- Supporting compliance requirements, quality assurance activities, and organisationalpolicies and procedures

Essential Skills and Knowledge





- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability tomanage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in administration, education support, student services, program coordination,or a similar role
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, schools, and externalstakeholders
- Experience maintaining accurate records and administrative systems
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
- Initiative, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn new systems and processes
- A genuine commitment to providing exceptional student support and customer service
- Confidence using Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse social and cultural backgrounds
- Experience within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) and/or Higher Education sectors
- Experience coordinating pathway, outreach, engagement, or community programs
- Knowledge of student support, wellbeing, or pastoral care practices
- Knowledge of the VET Quality Framework, CRICOS, state funding programs, or other education compliance requirements
- Proficiency in student management systems, preferably aXcelerate, including student enrolment, record management, reporting, and compliance-related administration
- Proficiency in learning management systems, preferably Canvas, including course administration, content management, learner support, and monitoring student engagement and progress
- Relevant tertiary qualification in education, administration, business, student services, or a related field
- Interest in games, animation, film, visual effects, or creative industries

Please note:

- This is a full-time with a 5-month probation period
- Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience
- A current Police Check or Working With Children's Check is required
